The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) is India's central regulator for interstate transmission, wholesale electricity markets, and grid services. CERC's 2026 Ancillary Services Regulation opened revenue stacking for BESS resources by allowing simultaneous energy, primary, and secondary reserve participation.
