Anti-Islanding
Inverter protection that disconnects from the grid when an islanded condition is detected, for safety.
Anti-islanding protection detects when an inverter is operating into an islanded (disconnected from utility) portion of the grid and disconnects within a specified timeframe. Required by safety standards (IEC 62116, IEEE 1547) to protect utility line workers and prevent damage. Grid-forming inverters require careful coordination with anti-islanding logic.
